Erica Freihaut

Erica is currently a third year student at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is interested in practicing small animal medicine with a possible emphasis in dentistry. Erica serves as the treasurer for Alpha Psi Fraternity, one of two professional veterinary fraternities on campus. She is very interested in promoting responsible pet ownership, preventing zoonotic diseases, and increasing the knowledge of the community with regards to animal issues. Throughout the year, she volunteers her time to assist in rabies shot clinics, microchip clinics and sterilizing shelter animals.

She was born and raised in Marietta, GA. She graduated from Walton High School and continued her education at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. There she received a BS in Biology. Erica is planning on returning to Atlanta to practice veterinary medicine in the future.
